In this quick tutorial, we are looking at how to create an individual-based performance review. Click Add New Review, then enter your title and description, and decide whether it will be a one-time or continuous review. Hit Next. Depending on your user profile in the system, you’ll be able to perform this action for your team members if you’re a team leader. I’ll deactivate the email notification option for this demo, but note that you can enable both email and reminder notifications. Next, go to the Review Configuration section. It defaults to Organization, but you can select other orientations depending on your role — manager, senior manager, or admin. Since we’re creating an individual review, select Individual. Here you can search for and select the individual you want to review. The list of visible individuals depends on your system permissions. For example, team managers can only see users in the teams they manage. Senior managers can view users in their departments, and admins can see all users. I’ll select Vicar for this example. Next, under Assignment Preferences, the hierarchy is team-based. You’ll then select the type of review. The system intelligently determines the relationship types available, such as: Colleague Review – Peers reviewing one another. Manager Review – Managers providing feedback for their team members. Comprehensive Review – Includes feedback from managers, peers, and subordinates. Each option includes a short description to guide you. You can also enable the option to allow the person being reviewed to review their reviewers, providing a chance for balanced feedback. If you choose Manager Review, only the manager provides feedback. A Comprehensive Review, on the other hand, collects feedback from multiple perspectives — helping to reduce bias. Once the review type is selected, choose the team associated with this individual. For example, I’ll select Jersey Squad. This ensures the review is tied to that team’s structure. Next, choose Review Owners — users responsible for managing the review. For instance, I can assign Harold as the review owner, giving him oversight rights. You can enable E-signature requirements if desired and choose review visibility settings to control who can see responses. Click Next to move to the Template Selection screen. Since this is an individual review, you can toggle Self-Assessment on if you want to include that option and select the appropriate self-assessment template. If you don’t yet have a template, click Create Form to make one. Now, select your templates. You can preview any of them by clicking the eye icon. Once your selections are ready, click Create. The system will now create the review for the selected individual using your chosen criteria.
