Goals – Duplicate Goal

Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial, I’ll demonstrate a quick and efficient method to save time with your goals. Let’s say you have a goal, such as the ‘Establish strategic partnerships’ goal, with one day left and only 67% completion. It appears unlikely to reach 100% by the deadline. If you want to extend this goal into the next year, it’s quite straightforward.

You simply go to the three dots next to the goal and select ‘Duplicate.’ The system then provides the option to duplicate the goal. Here, you can change the deadline, for example, extending it to the end of the quarter, and then click ‘duplicate.’

Now, we’ve created a new goal from an existing one. This method saves the time and effort of setting up a goal from scratch, including creating Key Results and other settings. The duplicated goal is now ready for use. This can be done for any goal you’re a member of or have created. If the three dots aren’t visible, it indicates you’re not the creator of the goal and hence cannot duplicate it.

For instance, with the ’30-day Marketing Sprint’ goal, which is my own, I can duplicate it. This feature allows for quick recreation and reuse of goals. After creating a new goal this way, you can edit it further as needed. This is a great way to jump-start the goal creation process.
