In this quick tutorial, we are looking at the plans system from the manager perspective. I am logged in here as a manager, and to give you a background, I am a manager in several teams. One of my teams is a silvabacks, and I have all of these members in my team. I’m a team lead, and so when I am in my development plans area or my plans area, I do have access to the development plans of people that I manage. So that’s why you see this here. Now, because I am not the creator of these plans, in this case, these are individuals who are the creators of these plans. There are restrictions that I do have. So for example, if I click on certain elements of the plan and I don’t have access to it, I will get a 404 error like that. That just tells you that even though you are the manager for this particular plan, you do not have access to the particular segments or components of that plan. Now, of course, if you create a plan and you assign it to one of your team members, and of course you add in the various components of the plan, such as you create a review for that individual, you create a survey for that individual, you create a goal for that individual, you have a plan check in with that individual, then of course you will be able to access those resources, those plan assets. But because in this example here, somebody else created this plan which happened to be for one of the users or the members that I manage, I’m not able to do that. So this kind of gives you a quick overview of the plan system from the viewpoint of a manager, right? So of course, as a manager, and we will have subsequent videos. As a manager, you are able to go in there, check on your direct reports, as well as create plans, and that’s the power of the plan system, is that you are able to create these plans, whether they’re performance related, career advancement related, onboarding related, or custom plans, you are able to create those for your direct reports right in the plants area.
