In this quick tutorial, we’re looking at how you can create custom reviews. Here’s a quick recap: In eLeaP, you can create multiple types of reviews — one-time or continuous. You can also create reviews for the entire organization, for specific teams, or for individuals. Each option allows for different review structures and levels of customization. Now, let’s look at the Custom Review option. Click Custom to begin. A custom review gives you maximum flexibility to design your own review circle — meaning you decide which relationships are included around the person being reviewed. For example, let’s say we want to review Brandy. Brandy is the person being reviewed. I want to get input from Brandy’s subordinates, so I’ll select a few. I also want input from Brandy’s managers and peers. This way, I can create a fully customized review circle that includes multiple perspectives. If you’d like the reviewee (Brandy) to also provide input on those who are reviewing her, simply check the option that allows reciprocal feedback. Next, under Review Owners, you can delegate responsibility. For instance, if you’re in HR and you create a custom review but want someone else to manage it, simply assign them as the owner. For example, I could assign Harold as the review owner while keeping or removing myself as needed. You can also enable the E-signature option — especially useful for regulated industries where verified acknowledgment is required. Next, click Next to move forward. This section is dynamic, meaning it adjusts automatically based on your configuration. For instance, if you remove the subordinate section, you’ll see the review setup update in real time. Now you can customize your form templates. You can even use AI to create templates automatically. Search for and select the appropriate form template. If you want to include a self-assessment component, toggle it on and choose the desired self-assessment template. When everything looks good, click Create — and eLeaP will generate your custom review based on the structure and relationships you defined.
