In this tutorial, we are looking at the check-ins feature as a manager. So of course I’m going to expand my menu right here and go to my check-ins area. You can also go it just by putting your cursor over the icon and clicking on it. Now, in this particular timeframe, I have two meetings here. I have a team based check-in. You can see it right here. It’s indicated by the team, and you can click on it just to take a look at what that check-in looks like. Of course, there talking points, that’s the same thing as agenda. And then you’ve got, as a matter of fact, you see the little indicator here showing that there are comments in there. You can actually click on that to see the details there. Then you have the plans here. So of course a check-in is a powerful tool and one-on-ones, one is longer, the other is shorter. (00:55): And, you can do both very, very effectively. But the idea generally is this. It allows you to have these one-on-one or check-ins that you can discuss specific items. It is very focused. You take specific plans and you can actually take very good notes. Sometimes this is a matter that is about HR or discipline or performance or what have you. But here’s a neat and powerful way that check-ins and hands performance and team cohesiveness as well as results. As you notice in the eLeaP system, you have your weekly task. Folks are putting together what it is that they’re working on. We have the PulsePoint area where you can see where people are having difficulty and are asking for assistance. Well, you combine all of that with a clear cut goal system that we have in place here, and you can see how check-ins allow folks to be able to reach out and to have these timely meetings and feedback sessions so that they can get on track, get resources, get the coaching, the capacity to be able to do well in all of the things that you want your team members to be able to do. (02:15): So, definitely make the check-ins a center point for your management style. And if you go to check-ins, you definitely can utilize the option of searching by name team member to see what meetings they’re in. Course, select the category right over here, options for you to filter. And then of course, you drill down, you go into the check-in. And of course, during the check-in, as people are participating, you are going through and checking off items in the agenda area, taking new plans, putting in notes. If you have private notes for whatever reason, you definitely can put those in there. Make sure you mark them private so that the system does not distribute those private notes. But this is how neat and powerful this tool is to help you actually build the type of resiliency and the depth of your team. So please feel free to access the check-ins option. (03:09): You can create a check-in and invite people. Folks can invite you based on team membership. Again, the idea in eLeaP is this. You’re not suddenly going to get invitations from people that are not on the same team as you. So you are able to limit the disturbance or just the distraction if you will. But by the same token, you are able to utilize the check-ins to create all teams, all hands-on meetings. You can specifically be inviting folks that you want for specific meetings if they’re working on projects, and vice versa, if an end user wants to participate in a check-in and they want to invite you to it because you’re in the same group, they definitely can do that or the same team, they can do that. So as usual, if you have any questions about check-ins in general or any other features in the system, please do not hesitate to contact us.
