Goals are an important part of the performance process as they help folks have clarity on what they should be working on. Goals also help organizations set direction for teams and individuals In the eLeaP system, you have the goals module right over here, and you currently are seeing all goals. They can be organized by the organization level or team-based goals. Goals under the mine section, are actually goals that I am connected to, either because I created them or I was assigned to them. If I go to the people section, I’m able to search for goals that others have created that I do have management capabilities or oversight over. I see the total number of goals and filtering and sort option here. Currently, the system lists goals in the table view, but you can utilize the hierarchy view to see goals in a hierarchy format or in a cascading format. Okay, let’s go back to the all goals page right over here and let’s look at a few of the other options on this page. We do have here goal statuses. On track goals, at risk goals, off track goals, exceeded goals, goals that are met, goals that are nearly met, and goals that are partially met. These statuses have been researched as a balance between accountability as well as being able to have motivation for people to achieve them. Exceeded goals are goals that would’ve hit a hundred percent and above. Goals that are met are goals that you’ve had a 90 to 99% achievement on. Goals that are nearly met are goals that you have a 75 to an 89% achievement on. And goals that are partially met are goals that you have 50 to 74% which are shown in the orange designation there. And then goals that are off track are goals that have less than 50%. So that just gives you an idea of the goals. You can, when you click on a goal, see the details of the goal, including what we call the key results. Key results are how you measure progress in goals. We have specific videos pertaining to that. You can also link your goals to your weekly status and weekly tasks help drive progress towards achieving goals. If we take a look at the end user view of the system, and this is me as a team member and go to my goals section, you’ll see that I have goals that are on track, as well as goals that I’ve exceeded and it just helps you to take a look at that also. Just know that to create goals, it’s very easy. Use the add new goal option there or you can use ai to help you create goals. You’ll need to set a deadline and don’t forget to select if you are assigning it to yourself or others in the organization. This is all permission space. Because I am an admin, I’m able to see the org toggle here. If not, I will not be able to see that. If I go to the advanced options, I can link goals to parent goals and that helps to create the cascading option. Of course, if I am setting a private goal, I’ll simply toggle this to the on position. You can add descriptions for your goals also. Alright, so this is a quick overview of the goal system. As usual, if you have any questions about this or any other features in the system, please do not hesitate to contact us.
