In this tutorial, we are looking at how to manage inactive goals. Inactive goals are easily identifiable because they’ll have the inactive flag. But if you want to quickly filter, identify inactive goals, all you do is click right here to go to the filters or sort option. And using the sort by you can indicate that you want to basically see active or inactive goals, and that system brings those goals up. Now, once you have an inactive goal, what can you do with such a goal? Well, you really can’t do much until you activate a goal. That’s first off. However, you suddenly can within the system, deactivate a goal. If for any reason the goal has changed, the purpose of the goal has changed, maybe it’s a strategic decision to move to something else, you definitely can inactivate that goal. But once you are in a goal, like so, you can click right here on the edit option to go into the edit mode, and we know that you can utilize the advanced option to activate the goal. (01:17): If you want to go straight to this option here, you can click on it and that would activate the goal for you. And then, of course, open up the goal for you to be able to manage. So super easy to do. I’m going to deactivate the goal again and just go to your advanced settings and toggle that off. Make sure you do save, and of course, the goal will be inactive. And if you do need to activate it, simply either activate it from the screen or once again, from the advanced setting tab, you know that you can switch that toggle to their own position and that would activate the goal for you. And the reason to activate the goal as stated earlier, is so that you can continue to work on it. For example, you might want to change your key result settings. You might want to assign or switch out who has access to this goal or change the goal deadline. There’s a whole bunch of reasons why you might want to deactivate a goal. Work on it and of course, reactivate it whenever you are ready. As usual, if you have any questions about this or indeed any part of the system, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
